New Year’s Resolution Time Again???
I recently did a 20 minute radio interview on the topic of making and keeping New Year’s Resolutions. Since most of you likely won’t hear the interview, I’m sending you the ‘cheat sheet’ that formed the core of the interview.
Happy Holidays and have fun should you choose to make a resolution this New Year’s Eve.
1. Think about your NY Resolution ahead of time- not at 8 pm on NY Eve
2. Begin with the end in mind (think Steven Covey) and set your Intention
3. Select one thing, rather than several
4. Write it down and keep it visible or look at it regularly
5. Think SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Timely)
6. Enlist support (friends, family…)
7. Move past self doubt – find a positive mantra and use it
8. Find time to BE STILL- it gets you unstressed and more grounded
9. Have faith in yourself, each and every day
10. Give yourself permission to be joyful and excited about your resolution
